Paul Maurice used to be one the most "pussified" coaches in this league. He's really singing a different tune now...................
How funky is your chicken? How funky is your chicken?
How loose is your goose? Our goose is totally loose.....
So c'mon all you Flyer fans.......c'mon all you Flyer fans
And shake your Caboose !! Shake your Caboose !!

Yeah, it’s amazing how much better coaches look with great rosters and tough players. Wayne Cashman could look like a stud with that Jets’ lineup.

They are loaded up front. Even with Laine playing just OK, they have been scoring at will.

If the Eagles, Cubs, Cavs and Astros can win a title, so can a Canadian NHL franchise. I think the drought ends this year.

Vegas dominated most the game. All square

    What an incredible game 3

These two teams compete hard and it got really nasty by today's standards

Jeta dominated the third but couldn't beat Fleury. 3-2 Vegas.

I just enjoy seeing two good teams play gritty hockey...good stuff! But still rooting for the Jets

Crazy series and excellent hockey from both sides. Great contrasting styles.

Marchessault is an interesting player. Undrafted, bounces around the AHL, plays for a few NHL teams, has a breakout year and is left exposed in expansion draft, recently gets 30 million. Total late bloomer that seems like he's there to stay.

Ya, Marchessault reminds me of Martin St Louis' path.

Fuck off. I'm a fan, derived from fanaticism. Not born in reason or logic but in passion and dedication. If you don't believe in the intangibles and immeasurables then you are one miserable fuck.

What Las Vegas has done is unbelievably impressive. Some folks (including here) have been trying to minimize their amazing season with the excuse that the rules were tweaked in their favor, they've had great players fall in their lap, they're not a true expansion team, and so on. But they are really missing the point.

To make a team from scratch, using only other teams' rejects and unsigned free agents, with no prior chemistry, no system in place, no experience of playing together or working with that coaching staff, may work in fantasy hockey but in the real world it is incredibly difficult to pull off. It's the kind of stuff that we used to make fun of the NY Rangers for attempting in the pre-cap era. They would try to throw money at the best players and hope that they can just have immediate success on the ice. And it almost never worked out.

Also, having a team where every player has a massive chip on their respective shoulders helps. Vegas player skate hard every game trying to prove themselves. At least that's what I see. Awesome story. And to all the chodes trying to minimize their success can fuck right off.
