Props to Gost..hell of a bounce back season

The Flyers are a game over the midpoint of the season and coming off last year's performance you have to give him credit for an amazing bounce back performance. He obviously struggled with confidence as well as after effects of the surgery and his play was spotty at best...especially defensively. Even when he was great in his first season, I always questioned whether he could even be passable defensively. He looked like a 2nd pair dmen at best and a big liability in his own zone. This year he's looked night and day defensively and has recently been on the top pairing with Provorov and looked really good doing it. Would never have thought he could pull that off based on how he looked last year. He's never going to be a top notch defender but his improvement has been dramatic.

That goal that he scored yesterday was a terrific example of what he's become...breaks up two consecutive plays in the neutral zone and on the 2nd one he jumps into the play and takes a nice pass to score the tying goal. Just a great play.

Stat wise he's been spectacular...tied for 1st in goals scored among dmen (9), 3rd in scoring among dmen with 32 pts and his signing is looking like a Simmonds type steal at $4.5 million for the next 5 years. Kudos to Gost for a tremendous bounce back season.

He's much better this year. Hope he can stay healthy.

Probably wont be an issue for them next season either.

The biggest difference in his game is his defensive play. Not his point production.
He's finally figuring out how to play the position & not trying to make a play that's not there.
It has taken him to this point in his career to do this.

I was wrong about him earlier figuring he would always be a liability on the blue line. He's thus far has proved me wrong. I'm happy about that.

Fuzz, Ghost has been phenomenal at breaking up zone entries at the defensive blue line. Far & away best on the team & probably near the top in the league. He’s only subpar defensively if he has to cover someone in the crease. Other than that he’s been excellent except for a few bad turnovers, which are inevitable.

He really has. I give him a lot of credit. And I was certainly critical of his play. He has turned his game around with his defensive play.

He's a plus player. For someone like him that is really all you can ask for ... stay on the plus side of +/- and rack up the points on the PP.

By the way, it's nice to see Provorov's offensive game coming around. He now has 8 goals and is one pace for 40 Points. 5 Points and +5 in the last 3 games. Who keeps saying things about him sucking?

He had a rough couple weeks, nothing wrong with pointing it out. Not hard to figure out that logging the kind of minutes and responsibilities he does, in his second season would lead to some rough patches.
    Couldn't care less
