    LMAO.
I read the OP & thought, “Dear God. That’s one of the worst trade ideas I’ve ever read.”
Looked to see who posted it.
    Saw EdmFlyersFan & was puzzled.
Thought, “He’s way smarter than that.”
Then it hit me that Flipocrite was the one who suggested that trade previously.

I still do it. Does Couturier have elite talent and make is linemates better, or is he better because he is playing with elite talent? Gostisbehere is what he is. a #3 PP specialist. Sure, both are nice players to have, and might be auxiliary components to a contender, but they are not key components to a contender, if that were the case, the Flyers would be a contender.

Johansen is an elite talent that makes everyone on the ice better, he's a conerstone player you can build around and a nice piece that would give the flyers the beginnings of 2 legitimate scoring lines.

But hey, what do I know. I have only watched this team skate couturier out there 20+ mins a night the last 4 seasons and seen what the results are because of it. Bubble team at best. Is he scoring a lot this year? Sure, and happy to see it, but it's not because he's driving the offense. It's because the 2 players who he is often paired with are elite, and allow him to produce at a level that he never could on his own.

makes sense. Just have to think much longer about pulling the trigger is all.

as i said in another thread. need to see shithead seanie do it for several seasons before i am convinced.

The problem is and will remain that the Flyers have no top 6 talent. The jerked schenn around repeatedly and didnt give him a fair shake at center. Only to trade him and then move giroux to wing? Why didn't they just keep him and move giroux to wing and make Schenn and Couturier the top 2 centers.

    Giroux - Couturier - Simmonds
    Pickem - Schenn - Voracek

Certainly seems a lot better than the current situation.

Couturier has 7 goals & 10 points in his last 6 games playing with Konecny on one wing, who coincidentally the last few games has started to take off as a player. But no, surely Couturier has nothing to do with that. It’s all Giroux....

Yeah, it is all Grioux. It is a guy who has been a top 5 player in this NHL for the last decade. Only a fucking retard like yourself would think otherwise.
