He has a little more skill than most of the team's forwards, but it hasn't resulted in any production. His line with Voracek has been surprisingly bad (and Voracek has a lot to do with that).

It was a desperate move to make the playoffs, didn't work, and now the Flyers are stuck protecting another aging forward in the expansion draft who has 2 points in 7 games, will be 33, and clogging $5M in cap room. He shows the need for a #2 center, but he's not the answer.

Was Couturier given first star of the game last night ?

I caught the broadcast between the periods and it look like they were running a Couturier career highlights reel.

    McT, welcome back.

As for the game, a little to late for the effort. Nice win, but pointless. Same goes for certain individuals,
    Couturier, Wiese, Giroux, ....

He finally came to the realization that maybe he will get some chances if he hangs out near the net.

    yeah,really
What little I saw of the game the Flyers did (as a whole) seem to play with a sense of urgency. They were willing to play a gritty, down low game.
    One game.

Which is the only chance they have considering the talent level.

which if they played that way for a season I think the fans would be satisfied.
Add becoming more feisty and the fans would love em.
Blue collar team, for a blue collar crowd.
